Over the last several weeks I’ve posted topics that work together for understanding how all this started in the beginning with Satan, God and the human race:
- Seeking that We May Find Answers
- The Purpose of Lucifer
- Free Relationship
- “Die to Live” Concept
At the end of it all, the answer to “What was God thinking?” with Satan and allowing the fall of man is simply this: God did not want to be alone. God set the stage for accessible relationships with man by creating that which is flawed (Satan and his sin nature) to eventually usher flawlessness (God and His perfect nature) into mankind so that God would not be alone for all eternity. He desired relationship: parent to child, groom to bride, friend to friend. It was not for nothing. If you think that God’s actions are selfish, ask yourself what you would do to cease being endlessly alone.
The goal of every word in my first book, What Was God Thinking? Why Adam Had To Die, is to reveal God’s truth about how accept that the flesh of man is dead as it was crucified with Christ no matter how alive you may think it and understanding this truth is a requirement for a successful anointed walk with the King of kings. He is to become your very life’s breath instead of a part of your life – no life outside of Christ.
Understanding that what God was thinking in the Garden is the same as today: we must purpose to die daily to self so as to gain eternal life and walk in that eternal life here on earth. Only the life of Holy Spirit active in and through us will allow God’s eternal Kingdom to manifest on earth. (excerpt from What Was God Thinking? Why Adam Had To Die, by Alexys V. Wolf)
Next week we’ll begin looking at what really happened “in the beginning” with creation according to the Word beginning in Genesis 1:1. It requires careful study so as to clear some long-standing misconceptions.
